Irish Pub Piwnica is a basement bar located a short walk from the main town square, just around the corner from the main gate. Its below-ground setting works particularly well in winter, when a warmer and more enclosed space adds to its appeal. In the summer months, it is a less obvious choice, especially with stronger alternatives nearby.

The bar offers a selection of local beers alongside Guinness. Guinness is priced at around £6, which is not especially cheap, but still reasonable if that is what you are looking for. Local beers are also available, with a half-litre costing around 22 zł, placing them in a similar mid-range category.

One practical advantage is that the staff speak English, which makes the venue accessible for visitors from Ireland and the UK. Food is available, but it is not the main reason to come here. There are better dining options in the area and in warmer months it makes sense to eat elsewhere.

As a place for drinks, however, it works well. It is a comfortable option for a few rounds, particularly if you want to watch television and spend some time indoors away from the cold. The whisky selection also stands out for value, with 12-year-old expressions available for around £3 to £4 per 40 ml serving, which compares well with prices in the British Isles.
