E. Wedel is a well-known Polish chocolate brand, broadly comparable in recognition to Hershey’s in the United States or Cadbury in the UK. Unlike many mass-market brands, it still uses cocoa butter and cocoa mass, which gives the product a more traditional chocolate profile.

This branch is an official E. Wedel shop located on the banks of the Motława River, with views across the Old Town and the pedestrian promenade. The setting is central and easy to reach, while remaining slightly removed from the busiest areas.

The menu is extensive, with a wide range of drinks and snacks. The offering leans toward coffee, chocolate-based drinks, cakes and bakery items. During our visit, we had a pear-infused coffee and a pistachio cream croissant. The croissant stood out for the freshness of the filling, which seemed to be added just before serving, with an additional drizzle on top.

Prices are not especially low and there are cheaper local alternatives. Still, for visitors or anyone interested in Polish chocolate, it works well as a convenient and well-placed option. The location adds to its appeal and the broad selection makes it suitable for both takeaway and eating in.
